Lady figurine “Firebird”


Porcelain lady figurine represents the famous Russian ballerina Tamara Karsavina. She is portrayed in the role of Firebird from the same ballet by I.Stravinsky, costume designer L. Bakst. The performance was staged by the brilliant Russian dancer and choreographer Mikhail Fokin in the framework of “Russian Seasons” by S. Diaghilev in 1910. The figurine was created by Elvira Eropkina in 1988 of solid porcelain and decorated with overglaze paints and gilding.
