Figurine “Lady with a mask”


Porcelain figurine represents a secular lady, who removes the mask after the masquerade. Lady coquettishly tilted the head for a kiss. Porcelain plastic miraculously fixes the game of fabrics on the skirt of a beauty and its fleeting movement. In the refinement of the drawing of the general silhouette, in the finest detailing of the face and the smallest details of the toilet, the poetry of a woman dolls is born in a powdered wig and satin foxes that knows all the pranks of love. Figurine of lady is made of solid porcelain and hand painted with overglaze paints and gilded. It is an exact replica of the statuette made in the same plant in 1906 by Konstantin Somov, artist of the association “World of Art”. The original of the statuette is kept in the State Hermitage Museum.
